At Orcutt Marriage and Family Counseling, we provide a range of services, including:

- Couples Counseling
- Marriage Counseling
- Child Counseling
- Individual Counseling

Fee Structure

Session Fee: $150 for a 50-minute session. $200 for a 80 minute session.

Insurance Information

I am an out-of-network provider for commercial insurances but do accept 

CenCal Behavioral Health. For all other insurances, you will be responsible for paying the session fee directly.

Confidentiality Considerations

Please be aware that if you choose to use your insurance coverage, a mental health diagnosis will become part of your health record. Opting out of insurance involvement ensures that your psychotherapy treatment remains fully confidential.
Couples therapy is generally not covered by insurance unless one member obtains a clinical diagnosis, which will remain on your record. Treating clients both individually and as a couple may create conflicts of interest that could potentially harm the therapeutic relationship.

To ensure you are reimbursed for counseling services, it is crucial to check with your insurance provider regarding your coverage and reimbursement process. Here are some steps to follow:

Contact Insurance Customer Service: Call the number on the back of your insurance card to inquire about your behavioral health coverage, including out-of-pocket costs like deductibles and co-insurance.

Ask About Out-of-Network Benefits: If you are using out-of-network services, ask about the coverage details, including deductibles and co-insurance. You can ask for a single case agreement  or the out of network reimbursement form.

Understand the Reimbursement Process: Be aware of the reimbursement process, including how to submit a Superbill and what information your insurance company requires. 

 

​Follow Up: After submitting your claim, follow up with your insurance company to confirm receipt and check the status of your claim. 

 

By following these steps, you can ensure that you are reimbursed for counseling services and that you are using the correct channels to receive payment.

A superbill (receipt for services) will be provided, which you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. It is highly recommended that you verify the specifics of your coverage prior to your appointment.

Note: Utilizing a professional HIPAA-trained practice management team and secure systems for all claims processing and administration.

​​​​Good Faith Estimates and No Surprises Act

You have the right to receive a **Good Faith Estimate (GFE)** that outlines the expected costs of your medical and mental health care. This estimate is based on the information available at the time it is created and does not include any unforeseen costs that may arise during treatment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your GFE, you have the right to dispute the bill. Please keep a copy or picture of your GFE for your records.

Payment Information

Payment is due at the time of service. Please note that credit card payments are only accepted online and will not be processed on-site.

Cancellation Policy

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment and have not notified us at least **24 hours in advance**, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
